FROSTY'S TRAVELS: LEAVING BORRONA DOWNS STATION

THURSDAY 1/11/2012

We packed up most of our things last night. We only had a few things to pack up this morning and we were out of here at 6.30am.

We saw a pair of eagles,kangaroos,emus goats sheep,lambs,cattle and snakes. Kiera woke at 8am. We saw this really cool lizard that even let me pat it.

We arrived in white cliffs at 10am and yes the bus and car are full of red dust again. lol.

We had a look in the opal shop and took time for a breather. We left at 11.50am. We had a chat with another couple that are going to travel the great ocean road before they go home.

We left Wilcannia at 3.10pm and stopped at a parking bay at 4pm for the night.

FRIDAY 2/11/2012

We got up at 6am and got on the internet looking for work. .We was up at 6am and we were on the road at 8am. Dave stopped all of a sudden and said there was a fresh road kill and he thinks there was a joey. I ran back with a towel made sure that the mother was dead and pulled the joey out and ran back to the bus. Everyone was so excited Australian Native Wildlife in Broken Hill (Wayne) came around as soon as we got in town and took it to a carer. We were all upset she left and Kiera called her Molly.

We had some business to attend to in Broken Hill. We also changed the left front tyre on the 4x4 before we left. We had a relaxing day. We went to another parking bay and had sandwiches then headed of again. We finally stopped at coombah roadhouse for the night at 7.50pm. We met the lovely owners called June and Mick, they gave us no for a cotton farm 40kms north from here. Well after everything that has happened we have had a really good day.June and Mick also gave us some more no’s for jobs and Dave tried them all.
