SUNDAY 19/8/2012
I woke up this morning with Sue sue biting my face at 6am. So I got up had a cuppa and decided to explore the parking bay that we pulled up in last night with the 2 dogs, while’ll Kiera and Dave slept. I was gone about an hour. It is massive with a lot of trees fallen down and plenty of parking for all types of nomads. What a beautiful cold and refreshing morning, loving every bit of travelling. We had pancakes for brekkie.
Stopped in Balladonia at 11.30 to stretched our legs and took the dogs for a walk..Petrol was $1.88 lt. premium was $2.11lt. There is no water at Balladonia the town is on restristriced water.
Our dogs are now turned a nice shade of red.
Kiera played her first games since we have been away.We stopped 50kms west of Caiguna for luch in a parking bay.We changed our clocks 45mins ahead bugger we just lost 45mins lol. We saw our first speed limit sign of 110. Dave reached a speed of 107 in the old girl then dropped it back to 80 a comfortable speed.Between Caiguna and Cocklebiddy we have seen a lot of road kill of kangaroos. Petrol at Cocklebiddy was $1.97lt. We are a little dissapointed we have not seen any signs up for the caves, there is a lot in this area, better luck tommorrow. We stopped in a parking bay about 20mins east of Cocklebiddy another very big one. We all went for a walk together and talked with some of the other travellers. Dave set up the satelite and we watched a movie together. Dave checked the bus engine. Dave accidently drove over a kangaroo when he had to go left because of a wide load, now we have kangaroo guts on the front of our 4x4.
