Ok on this new page of our blog I am going to put up all the places we stayed free and low cost they will be accompanied with photos and directions. I will also have what is available at each place and they will be pet friendly as we have pets.

Niagara Dam camping area is 60 km north-east of Menzies via
the Goldfields Hwy and Kookynie Rd. An oasis in the outback, it embraces a
large, shady area among the trees on the edge of the dam.
You can explore the surrounding bush or swim
and fish the waters of the dam, which was built to water the steam trains that
serviced the nearby historic town of Kookynie.
Today, Kookynie is a living ghost town, and not
to be missed if you are visiting the northern Goldfields region.
